Lucky Guy:

Yesterday, Chicago experienced some UNBELIEVABLE storms: hail, wind, skies that were pitch black were just the beginning. When I got off the train, this is what I saw two blocks from the apartment:

I think come to find out, D's car is parked....on the same damn street:

But since he is the luckiest guy in the freakin' world, his was one of the only cars on the street at escaped unscathed:

Ba'Hai

Today, D and I went up to Wilmette, IL to see the Ba'Hai temple -- 1 of 7 worldwide and the only one in North America. The Ba'Hai is a religion that believes we are all unified as one people, under one God and accepts that all religious faiths are part of a greater doctrine. There are 9 entrances to the Temple signifying that all religions and spiritualities are welcome to come in and each entrance is surrounded by a beautiful fountain and an elegant garden. It is truly one of the most peaceful places I have ever been.

Yeap, definitely in God's Country.

Even after having the worst week I could remember, the sunshine came and I was reminded that sometimes, you just have to smile away a storm. (I'm so f-ing poetic, aren't I?)
I want to say the AON Center this morning; it was quite soupy out....

An Indiana Sunset which always takes my breath away
Wrigley Building clock in the early morning sun.
